The Student Recreation & Wellness Center (SRWC) will be a 120,000 square feet facility with fitness programs, aerobic classes, rock climbing walls and 8 basketball, volleyball and badminton courts total. The center will serve as a place for students to exercise, study, hang out and provide student opportunities for work and internships.

July 2008 - The University Student Union Board of Trustees(USUBOT) recently approved 100% schematic design drawings of the CSULB Student Recreation & Wellness Center. The Construction Management Value Engineering process identified $11 million in savings to ensure the costs fell within the approved budget by students. The students on the USUBOT ensured that no SRWC programming space was eliminated in the future site.
Ground breaking is set for December 2008.
